“The 2015 report, Hunger in our Schools, states: “Every day teachers, principals and staff in schools across the country see students who can’t succeed because of hunger.” At Anna C. Scott School 16% or 106 students are eligible for Free and Reduced food status. It’s about 18% at Leonia Middle School. Breakfast and lunch are provided weekdays through Federal programs. The Weekend Snack Pack Program provides healthy, kid friendly snack foods that bridge students between Friday and Monday. The Leonia Schools are thrilled to partner with the Rotary Club of The Palisades, the Center for Food Action and others to provide this needed support.”
