Andrew Deutsch: How to Procrastinate Well

Everybody puts off this, that or the other, but did you ever think there is an "art" of procrastination? Well, there is! In this informative and entertaining talk, Andrew Deutsch will look at procrastination in a new and insightful way, and give participants ideas about how to use this "art form" to actually accomplish what is important to them.
Andrew Deutsch leads workshops for businesses and organizations, using improvisation skills adapted from theater games, for the purpose of facilitating creative problem-solving, powerful speaking and listening skills, and team-building in the business environment. He blends improv techniques with sales skills, social psychology, and personal development psychology. Andrew is a member of the Applied Improvisation Network (AIN).

Alexa Marquez: Teaneck Creek Conservancy

Teaneck Creek Conservancy is an urban oasis unlike any other. Rescued in 2001 by an eclectic group of artists, environmentalists, and concerned citizens, this 46 acre former dumpsite and highway staging ground has been transformed into a beautiful forested trail retreat! This gem of the Bergen County Park System is a world class birding site, has multiple upcycled art installations and is free to the public every day of the year! This presentation will delve deeper into the great work already done, projects ongoing, and our largest restoration slated for 2018.
Alexa Marques joined Teaneck Creek as the Executive Director in June 2015. She is responsible for volunteer management, recruitment and outreach, physical oversight of the 46 acres, program and event development, the organizations fundraising and finances, and all of the Conservancy's communication and social media.

Sal Anderton: NJ Aid-in-Dying for the Terminally Ill Act

Sal Anderton is an attorney and government affairs agent who has advocated in support of the New Jersey Aid-in-Dying for the Terminally Ill Act since 2014. The legislation, which is pending consideration in the New Jersey Legislature, would make the Garden State the 8th jurisdiction in the U.S. to lawfully permit Aid-in-Dying. He has practiced law and represented clients before all branches of state government for nearly twenty years. This discussion will focus on the ethical, legal and public policy implications of Aid-in-Dying and the details of the pending NJ legislation.
