Christoph Hesterbrink: “Sustainability Begins at Home”June 30, 2017 7:30 am - 8:30 am
Christoph Hesterbrink and his family are, in Leonia terms, newcomers to town, having arrived in 2000. He has always been active in his various communities, despite his professional life having gotten in the way. He was a consultant for 15 years, mostly with Price Waterhouse/PWC and later in an array of industries. Currently, he is a VP of Information Technology at CBS.
Christoph has served on the Leonia Environmental Commission for a few years and became chair in 2016. Since then, the focus of the Commission has been on finding ways to reduce waste in Leonia, which has resulted in the "pay-as-you-throw" proposal. It is part of a long-term effort to make everyone aware of their impact on the environment and to offer specific ways to do one's part to leave our children a healthy environment.
