Milin Rau: The Indian diaspora in the United States and personal experiences as an Indian American.

For nearly 20 years, Milin Rao has dedicated his career to helping individual and institutional clients successfully manage their investments.  Currently he is a Portfolio Manager and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Paramus, NJ.  Prior to Morgan Stanley, he held the positions of Assistant Vice President within the Global Investment Research division at Barclays Capital, Equity Research Analyst at Neuberger Berman, and Senior Associate at the S&P Capital IQ division of Standard & Poor’s.

Milin has earned an MBA with concentration in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelors of Science in Economics with academic honors from Stony Brook University.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner.  Milin was featured in New Jersey Monthly Magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager for 2016 and will be in the upcoming January issue as a 2017 recipient as well.

Milin’s life outside of work revolves around his wife, two boys, and their home in Cliffside Park.  Along with being a Rotarian, he is on the Board of Directors of the Stony Brook Alumni Association, is a Bergen County Leader for the South Asian American Caucus of the NJ Democratic Party, and coaches baseball in the spring, along with regularly participating in a number of professional organizations.
