March 31, 2017 7:30 am - 8:30 am

Peter Bailis recently retired from a 30+ year career with the Port Authority of New & New Jersey. Several years ago, Pete set out to hike all 225 miles of the marked trails in New York's Harriman State Park. Reaching this goal took several years and 70 hikes that covered more than 600 miles of trails.

Harriman State Park is known for its beautiful pristine forests, rugged trails through diverse geological formations and breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley. Pete will share some of his hiking experiences and fascinating facts and little known stories about the history of Harriman State Park.

The Spring hiking season is almost here! This talk will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about this beautiful New York state park.
