Sally Seymour: 40 Years as a Nurse in the Bronx - Through Good Times and Hard Times.
Rotary Club of The Palisades member Sally Seymour will talk about her decision to go into the field of nursing, her years as a medical surgical nurse in a big city hospital, as a public health nurse in the South Bronx during the years of the AIDS and crack cocaine epidemics, and later as a school nurse.
Sally Seymour has lived in Leonia for 25 years with her husband Mike, and recently retired after working for 40 years as a nurse. After graduating from Barnard College and working in a few other fields, she went on to get a Masters degree in Nursing and embarked on a satisfying and varied career as a nurse in several different settings in the ever-changing, fascinating borough known as "The Bronx."
